How Nanodea increased their win rate by 43% in one quarter

Nanodea's sales team was closing deals — but couldn't explain why they were losing them. Meridian changed that.

The challenge

Nanodea had a strong product and a motivated sales team. But after two consecutive quarters of missed targets, VP of Sales Sarah Mitchell knew something was wrong — and she didn't know what.

"We'd debrief every lost deal in our Friday standups," Sarah said. "But the answers were always the same: pricing, bad timing, went with a competitor. We were collecting reasons, not intelligence."

The problem wasn't effort. It was data. Nanodea's CRM held thousands of deal records, call notes, and email threads — but nothing connected them into a clear picture of why deals actually closed or stalled.

We realized our CRM was a graveyard of bad data. Reps were picking the closest dropdown, not the real reason. Meridian went past the dropdown.

Why Nanodea chose Meridian

After evaluating three revenue intelligence platforms, Nanodea chose Meridian for two reasons: speed to insight and ease of integration.

"We didn't want another tool that needed six months of onboarding," said James Okafor, Head of Marketing. "Meridian connected to Salesforce in an afternoon. We had our first win/loss report the next morning."

Meridian's content attribution layer was also a deciding factor. Nanodea had been investing heavily in content — a weekly newsletter, long-form guides, and a library of customer case studies — but had no way to measure whether any of it was influencing pipeline.

How they used it

Nanodea rolled out Meridian in three phases.

Phase 1 — Win/loss baseline

In the first two weeks, the team used Meridian's win/loss analysis to audit the previous 90 days of closed deals. Three patterns emerged immediately:

  • Deals where a case study was shared in the evaluation stage closed at a 61% rate — vs 34% where none was shared.
  • Deals lost to Competitor X were concentrated in one vertical: logistics. Reps had no competitor-specific talk track for that segment.
  • 40% of losses marked as "pricing" in the CRM showed no price objection in the actual call transcripts. The real issue was unclear ROI positioning.

Phase 2 — Content attribution

With the win/loss baseline in place, marketing used Meridian's content attribution dashboard to map which assets were influencing deals — and at which stage.

The results reshaped their entire content calendar. Their most-read blog post had zero measurable pipeline influence. Their least-promoted case study — a story from a logistics customer — turned out to be the highest-performing asset in their library, influencing 14 deals in a single quarter.

Phase 3 — Rep coaching and forecasting

In month two, Nanodea's revenue operations lead, Priya Nair, began using Meridian's rep performance view to identify coaching opportunities.

"It wasn't about ranking reps," Priya explained. "It was about finding the patterns. Our top closer always sent a case study within 24 hours of a discovery call. Almost no one else did. We made that a team standard."

Within six weeks, the team had documented three playbook changes directly informed by Meridian data.

They also imported a shadcn/ui button because they needed to showcase a code snippet in this artice. See below.

Key Takeaways

  1. Data needs context to be actionable

Raw CRM inputs alone don’t explain why deals are won or lost. Connecting them with real interactions and behaviors reveals what actually drives outcomes. Learn more about revenue intelligence: https://example.com/revenue-intelligence-guide
  2. Attribution reveals real content impact

Engagement metrics can be misleading without tying them to revenue. Attribution helps identify which assets truly influence pipeline and decision-making.
  3. Small actions can drive big wins

Consistent, timely actions — like sharing the right case study at the right moment — can significantly improve close rates. These micro-optimizations often outperform large strategic changes.
  4. Insights must become repeatable playbooks

Data is only valuable when it translates into clear, repeatable actions for the team. Documenting and scaling what works ensures consistent performance across reps.

The results

By the end of the quarter, Nanodea had increased their overall win rate from 38% to 54% — a 43% relative improvement. Pipeline from inbound content more than doubled as marketing reallocated budget toward assets with proven deal influence.

Time spent on loss analysis dropped significantly. What previously took a two-hour Friday debrief now took 15 minutes, with Meridian surfacing the key signals automatically.
